We handle any combination of Design-Bid-Engineer + Build. While we often collaborate with talented design partners we can also carry out the design portion of the project as well.

Design+Build Advantages

What are the advantages of design-build?

Design + Build projects offer many improvements over the traditional bid process for projects. Below are the four main advantages unique to Design/Build projects.

  • Single Source Responsibility - The client looks to a single entity to take full responsibility for the design, construction and delivery within a prescribed timeframe and budget. Ahhh… the comfort of a single point of contact.
  • Quality Control - Design + Build projects bring the designer, engineer, fabricator and installer all under one roof. The lines of communications are simplified and chances for costly change orders are reduced. Quality is maintained through collaborative solutions and potential issues are often mitigated well before they have any great impact on the project.
  • Cost Control - Provided that a realistic budget is negotiated prior to entering into a Design + Build agreement, the selected Design + Build Professional takes the responsibility of budget adherence as the design is developed. The client also has the added advantage of knowing the cost implications of each decision as it happens and a guaranteed maximum price can be determined as soon as the scope of the project is determined.
  • Timeframe Control - The client saves time by working with a single source for contracting, engineering, designing and subcontracting. Bidding periods and re-design times are virtually eliminated. The project timeline can be effectively managed by a single source so that all of the services fall into place and project deadliness are met.
